The Hospitium was transformed into a hotel in 1826, then, after the opening of the Stelvio Pass, it became a place for a relaxing holiday for the Imperial Court of Austria. The hotel located 3km from Bormio and dominates from 1420m, overlooking this magnificent area, the large concave valley of Bormio, with a sweeping view of Vallecetta the perennial glacier of the Cima Pazzi, a panorama of incomparable beauty. Restored in 2000, complete with 12 romantic bedrooms, of which 4 are suites, furnished with original pieces of artistic antiques from Valtellina. An extension of the Hotel is the Hot Springs Spa&Wellness, with 26 various Spa services. Situated in the green Stelvio National Park, it is ideal for a detoxifying, anti-stress and relaxing Wellness holiday. |
