Once again, Bormio's slogan "year around ski holidays" will keep what it promises. Immediately after the closure of the summer ski resort Passo dello Stelvio, on November 5th, 2011 the lifts of Bormio's ski area from 2.500m to 3.000m will open for all lovers of winter-sports.

"With the pound at its current level, most of the skiiers will have one eye on the budget," this is the presumption of the editors of the famous ski guide  "Where to Ski and Snowboard 2011", which gave as well rise to a resort ranking in five of the six major skiing countries. Among those that offer a proper ski holiday at reasonable prices is as well listed Bormio.

The summer ski area Passo dello Stelvio is  open from 28th May until 3rd of November 2011.
