The ski area of Bormio has 20 ski pistes with a total length of 50km between 1225m and the peak of Cima Bianca on 3012m. During the last years Bormio has invested in its infrastructure to meet the new challenges of modern technology. Today there are 16 cable car and ski lifts ready to allow winter-sports lovers to ski and snowboard from early November to midst of April.
An artificial snowing systems guarantees snow on 90% of the slopes. If you want to try to ski on the slopes of the world champions, you are welcome to do so. The famous downhill piste ‘Stelvio’, on which there has been taken place the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships 1985 and 2005 and every year at the end of December the FIS Ski World Cup race, is there for to test your performance. But the ski area of Bormio does not only offer slopes for the expert skiers but as well for beginners and average skiers.
